I've been coming here for years and the service is always great and the food always awesome.
it took 45 mins for us to get our meal and the chicken was so scarce on my sandwich that you could see the bread under the chicken and the vegetables were hard
I will not be back to this location for quite awhile or maybe never. I had to send my chicken back because it was so hard I couldn't put my fork through it. They should not pass this kind of over cooked dried out chicken to the customer and hope that they don't complain. It should have gone in the garbage instead. All in all it was an unpleasant experience.
i go all the time and its amazing (:
Just returned from Swiss Chalet, Bayfield St., where I was told that for a single take out meal I would need to wait 45 minutes. Another occasion in the past I was told the water pipe had broke and no more take out that night. What is wrong with this place? I have used Swiss Chalet since they started in Toronto with two stores and also in Calgary. Never had such poor service and will think twice before going back. Poor management and lack of planning.
Just checking out your menue, and delivery info... I have a $50.00 gift card to use, it is tooooooo hot to cook in this small space.
the swiss chalet on Bayfield Street in Barrie was great. Kim our server was wonderful, easyto like and very conscientious. She wrote .quote"it has been a pleasure to serve you today" on the back of our bill. January 25,2013
Do a pretty good job for being short staffed, with a small kitchen and large dining room. Quite pleased!
If you call ahead for take-out they usually have it ready in 20 min. As for the water pipe breaking, not really their fault.
We are a couple seniors and today at 2 p.m. November 17, when we were on our way north passing through Barrie stopped at Swiss Chalet Bayfield Street. My better half ordered the Festive Special. Delivery was prompt but my wife noticed that the dressing was missing from her plate and so advised the waitress who for the past few minutes had been talking to a couple ladies (customers) - apparently they were well acquainted as the conversation was of a personal nature. The waitress said she was sorry and would bring the missing dressing, but she turned back to her friends and continued her personal conversation for another few minutes until her friends left. Finally, when the meal was half consumed, the waitress brought the dressing. For sure, mistakes can happen but they are compounded when prompt action is not taken. I hope her friends gave her a good tip; we left a loony and exited the restaurant with a bad feeling. Mike
On Friday my wife and I had dinner at your restaurant on Bayfield St. I had quarter chicken and a third ribs, french fries and diet Pepsi.
The chicken was the only part of the meal that was close to tasting good, the ribs were completely tasteless and loaded with fat, the fries were good but mostly very small pieces, the crumbs of the batch, the diet coke was like slightly colored water,.
My wife had a third ribs and fries, her ribs and fries were the same as mine.
We used to enjoy Swiss Chalet however, something has changed, is it the cooking , the selection of the food or trying to cut corners on quality!
It left us both with a feeling that we will not eat there Gain.
I was in the take out in your restaurant Swiss Chalet and I did not like what I seen the guys was picking up the chicken with his bare hands had no gloves on no one did the other guy was putting the buns on the plates with no gloves on I do
not think I will be back at Swiss Chalet the one on Bayfield St sorry to say that I love the restaurant until that happen.
